VUUR (meaning “fire” in Dutch) are from Belgium, started out in early 1999. The band consists of ex-members of Outrage (2nd 7” still available on Day One Records), Reller, Deconsume and Hopeman Path. VUUR plays chaotic raging manic screaming heavy screamoviolence. Name-dropping: often compared to a wild chaotic mix of AcMe, Dropdead, Rorschach, Reversal Of Man, a bit of Mörser and a shot of Born Against. Whatever. Everything mixes into structured & pissed chaos anyway. VUUR dislikes the slick business mentality that has entered punk/hardcore. They prefer a true DIY(Do It Yourself)-approach over being a part of that hollow money-making machine. Therefore, we are not cool. But we are pissed.
